Amedeo Beck Peccoz

Amedeo Beck Peccoz

Biography:

As a teenager I used to connect to FidoNet, since then my interest for telecommunication networks has been continuously growing. I pioneered a local ISP in the 90s and a streaming company in the early 2000s.

Now that I have grey hair I serve as Head of Strategy for ESpanix, one of the largest IXPs in Southern Europe, I am an active member of ESNOG (where I am also a regular speaker) and I am part of the Programme Committee for the Networking section of FOSDEM.

Statement of Interest:

I picture myself in RIPE Programme Committee where I can help drive the RIPE presentations, leveraging my engagement with the community and my 30+ years experience in the industry.

Clara Wade

Clara Wade

Biography:

I got introduced to the community in 2018 in a peculiar way. I was only 22 years old, working at an online escrow company from its Buenos Aires office when IPv4 address transactions were becoming more urgent and frequent as the run-out was happening. It became my passion project to make sure the process was as safe as possible and in compliance with Address Policy. Meeting people in the community that were committed to building a stable and sustainable Internet only emphasised the importance of the bottom-up work being done here. Since 2022, I have been helping develop the IP address strategy at AWS. I have attended multiple NOGs and RIR meetings across four regions and love connecting with people from different parts of the world. Being a member of the RIPE Programme Committee, a member of the RIPE Charging Scheme Task Force and the Chair of the NANOG Community Engagement and Workshops committees, I strongly believe in giving back and have seen first-hand the impact that contributing to this community can have.

Statement of Interest:

I found a deep sense of community at my first RIPE meeting that has only grown over time as I kept attending, getting to know more people over the years and serving in the RIPE Programme Committee and Charging Scheme Task Force. Having a unique perspective on what it means to come into this space as an outsider in your 20s, I would love to contribute to engage more newcomers, recruit speakers and build a diverse and exciting program.

Melody also contributes to community-driven events like meetups and repair cafés, with a focus on learning together and making technical topics more approachable.

Statement of Interest:

I’d be happy to support the RIPE Programme Committee with a fresh perspective and hands-on community experience. Being early in my career, I relate to newcomers and would love to help shape a programme that’s welcoming, practical, and interesting to a wide range of people.

Wolfgang Tremmel

Wolfgang Tremmel

Biography:

After completing his degree at Karlsruhe University, Wolfgang started working as a network engineer at Xlink in 1994. He went on to become head of network operations and peering manager at a range of ISPs.

In 2006, Wolfgang joined DE-CIX as Director Customer Support, a position he held for ten years. Since 2016, Wolfgang has been head of the DE-CIX Academy, making sure customers understand how BGP and other routing protocols work.

Statement of Interest:

I would love to join the Program Committee once again. Having previously served on the committee, I found the experience both enjoyable and rewarding. I really liked working with the community and fellow members, and also chairing the sessions at RIPE meetings.

I believe I can continue to contribute to the committee by leveraging my past experience and enthusiasm for RIPE meetings, and I am confident that I can continue to make meaningful contributions.
